Lewis Building Technology was established in 2008 by a small team of IT and system integration experts working at one of the UK’s leading independent installers of electronic safety and security systems, Chris Lewis Fire & Security. Having founded his first business on the principal of delivering unrivalled customer service, and pioneering the industry’s adoption of IT and IP technologies, Chris Lewis saw a gap in the market. Customers looking for uncompromising levels of home security were also seeking to integrate a greater variety of electronic systems to simplify the management and control of their homes and businesses.

Lewis Building Technology was born, and is now headed up by Managing Director, Justin Rhodes, an IT professional with a background in networking and system integration and over eight years' experience in developing complex integrated fire and security systems. The team comprises certified programmers, networking specialists and audio-visual technicians and boasts a range of industry qualifications and accreditations.

In 2010, Lewis Building Technology partnered with high-end audio manufacturer, Meridian, and in 2011 opened their first European boutique show room.
